What is the most mom life thing that has happened to you today? Recently someone asked for mom stories, and the internet responded to deliver this list.
1. Screaming Horror Story
One mom shared, “My daughter said she had to turn out the lights because she would tell me a horror story today. So she took an electric candle and started narrating her horror story, which was not scary, while holding it to her face from below.”
According to the story, she had to scream at the end to scare me. And that’s what was meant to scare me. As a result, she shouted, and I acted to be scared. I exaggerated my role a little; she felt she scared me so much that she burst into tears. I had to calm her down for many minutes.”
2. Labor Potty Break
Another mom stated, “My eight-year-old is constipated. His brother had a helping mindset and was coaching while he dropped a giant deuce in the bathroom. Between the ‘Ok, push!”
And “Breathe, breathe,’ and ‘you’re doing good. Ready to try again?’ It sounded like I was witnessing a particularly horrifying birth.” “I once heard someone describe dealing with kid’s toileting as being a “poop doula.” So accurate,” another mom confessed.
3. Poopy Pants Santa
“We went to a meet Santa event, and my potty trained almost-three-year-old pooped his pants on the playground equipment. We had no wipes, so I cleaned him up in the parking lot by pouring bubble liquid onto toilet paper and wiping his bottom. Oh, the glories of parenthood,” one mom stated.
4. Head and Shoulders Dumping
Another replied, “We just bought head and shoulders for me yesterday. My scalp always gets itchy during the winter. My four-year-old woke up before everyone else and was the quietest she’s ever been in her life while dumping the entire bottle on the bathroom floor and playing in it.”

5. Dead Mouse
“I watched my four-year-old dip his orange slice in ketchup, hold it up and declare that it was a dead mouse before he happily ate it. I didn’t know what to say,” one mom admitted.
6. Snot-Nosed Hug
“My three-year-old kid asked for a hug. I melted, held out my arms, and he proceeded to wipe his nose on me before running away,” one answered. Another confessed, “Not going to lie. I have done this to my husband for making fun of me for being cold.”
7. Baking Powder Beef Stew
“Baby is five weeks and obsessed with mommy,” replied one. “I’m so sleep-deprived that I put the baking powder into my beef stew instead of corn starch. I didn’t tell the family- they didn’t notice. Then I cried while preparing presents because my three-year-old used every label I had left on one gift, and I lost my tape.”

8. Christmas Tree Farm Meltdown
“My kid had a full-blown meltdown in the Christmas Tree Farm parking lot because I wouldn’t spin in circles with her. In the middle of a busy parking lot,” they reiterated. “Mom, stress!”
9. Untouched Cake
“I spent all day yesterday making a specific cake my daughter asked for at her birthday party. Unfortunately, the kid’s mindset was elsewhere, and they barely touched it,” one mom digressed. Another confided, “I feel this in my soul. I spent so long making a fantastic Minecraft cake for my son; he ate half of one piece and never touched another.”
10. Black-Eye Cold Shower
Finally, a mom shared, “My kid woke up with sand in her hair, unsure where it originated. So put her in the bath before school, emphasizing we had to be QUICK!”
“She shampooed her hair and asked me to turn the water on so she could rinse it. My kid, at this point, is holding the shower head above her face with her head tipped back. In my rush, I forgot about waiting for it to warm up.”
“So I blasted my child in the face with cold water, she dropped the shower head, and it hit her square in the face. She went to school late, with no lunch and a black eye!”
