KFC Popcorn Chicken
Popcorn chicken is small crunchy chicken nuggets full of flavor, and many people remember KFC having these delicious little bits. Some even called them genius. Many are wondering why KFC would remove them?!
Caramel Apple Empanadas From Taco Bell
Never would have thought the words ‘caramel apple’ and ‘empanadas’ would go together, but Taco Bell made it happen. One person even remembers heading into Taco Bell late at night just to grab a caramel apple empanada. Wondering what the staff probably thought.
Cherry Pies From McDonalds
Mcdonald’s may still have their fried apple pies, but people miss the fried cherry pies terribly. One eater recalls having to wait several minutes before eating the delicious pies describing them as “Liquid Hot Mmmag-ma” because you’d burn not only your tongue but the roof of your mouth and gums.
Potato Cakes From Arbys
Potato cakes are exactly what they sound like, and these tasty cakes from Arby’s reminded many people of their elementary school lunches and sitting with their friends at the lunch table.
Monte Cristo
Bennigan’s is popular for two sandwiches, the Turkey O’Toole and the Monte Cristo. A former restaurant employee remembers having a fryer dedicated to this sandwich. The employee not only enjoyed the sandwich but all the food, staff, and management.
Cinnamelts
Mcdonald’s isn’t known for its cinnamon treats, but the cinnamelts found their way into a lot of people’s hearts. Some even thought they were alone in their love for cinnamelts but realized these melts were enjoyed and loved by many.
Ice Cream Turkeys
Ice cream turkey may not sound appetizing to you. But if you were a kid in the 2000s, you couldn’t wait for Thanksgiving and Baskin-Robbin’s ice cream turkey. What are they? One scoop of ice cream (your choice), a large frosted cookie tail, frosting head, wings, and feet. Special memory shared was that grandmother used to always call her grandchildren to take their ice cream order right before Thanksgiving.
Pizza Hut Crust
A sizzling hot iron pan is what you used to get your Pizza Hut pizza in but not anymore! Their crust is no longer as crispy, and one recent patron even admits to filling up on breadsticks and bringing the pizza home to crisp it up in their own oven.
Steak, Egg, and Cheese
McDonald’s tried to be classy by adding some steak to their menu. Apparently, though, the steak, egg, and cheese on a bagel wasn’t meant to last as a forever item. But don’t worry if you were a fan because some people noticed it making a comeback on some menus (east coast).
Dollar Menus
Does anyone remember when there was a whole menu of items you could get for $1 each? No, neither do we, because it was way long ago. Many people agreed that those special menus should become a thing again because, in this economy, everyone is broke.
Chocolate Lasagna
Not sure if this is categorized as dinner or dessert, but apparently, Olive Garden had a really good version of chocolate lasagna that was different than the one they still have. One person described it as whipped cream cheese icing between layers of fluffy chocolate cake and white chocolate shavings on top.
Catfish Filets – Cracker Barrel
Covid screwed a lot of people over, and one person is really upset about losing their catfish filets from Cracker Barrel. Supply chain issues caused the major all-day breakfast franchise to drop the delicious dish.
Salsa Doritos
You wouldn’t have been able to find these chips on any fast food menu, but if you had walked into Walmart or your local grocery, they would have been in the chip aisle. Many agreed these chips were the bomb.com.
McSalad Shakers
Shake, Shake, shake, Senora, shake your salad right! Back then, you could grab a salad at Mcdonald’s and shake it all together (dressing included). A lot of people seemed to love the chef salad but hated when the dressing got caught on the lid.
