To begin, “My friend scrapes all the cheese/toppings off the pizza and eats the slice first. Does this with several slices, then eats all the cheese/toppings at the end. It makes me insane.”

Another person shared, “I used to be friends with a guy who ate pizza from the top down. He picked off all the toppings, ate them one piece at a time, then peeled off the cheese, ripped it into a few pieces, ate that, then ate the dough/crust.”

Upsidedown Muffins

One user replied, “I like to flip muffins upside down, remove the wrapper, and eat them from the bottom up. It’s less messy, and the top is the best part because it’s got better textures. Obviously, this does not work when they’re dusted with sugar or have other toppings thrown on top.“

Sandwiches

A comment was, “I eat sandwiches in a circular way.. like I spiral it.. after 8 years together, my wife finally noticed last week and asked what is wrong with me. ”

A second comment was. “There is a science to this. If you eat a sandwich the “normal” way, you’ll push stuff out the other end. But a circular eating pattern allows the fillings to congregate in the middle. Leaving a mess-free meal and a delicious final bite.”

Croutons

A user commented, “I eat croutons out of the bag like chips.”

A second user added, “Heck yeah! It used to mortify my parents that when we would go out to eat and I was a kid, I would go to the salad bar and get a plate of croutons with whatever dressing I felt like eating and dunk them. Not sure why they hated it so much. It’s delicious.”

Mozzarella Sticks

A person shared, “Not in public, but when I’m home alone away from judging eyes……I eat the crust off my mozzarella sticks first and then pop the whole blob of melted mozzarella into my mouth. So cheesey, so salty, so satisfying, and best of all: no sad flour flavor.”

Another person commented, “I don’t even bother eating the breading, just peel it off and eat the cheese. It really is a flavor that can’t be matched without putting the breading on first.”

Instant Ramen

One popular comment was, “Instant Ramen. I cook the noodles, drain them, then add the seasoning packet. I grew up eating ramen (mazemen as it’s apparently called) this way. Shin Ramyun, however, I do as a soup. Tried it once without the broth and couldn’t finish. It was too spicy.”

Another comment was, “When I was in Korea, they used to sell bowls of instant ramen at every eatery, and they would slap a slice of American cheese right on top of it. I can’t eat instant ramen without a slice of cheese now.”

Corn on the Cob

A reply was, “I cut the corn off the cob with a knife. It all gets stuck in my teeth otherwise.”

A second reply was, “I do this. I have veneers. My dentist said to cut corn off the cob, cut up apples, etc. Have had the veneers for over 10 years, and they are very expensive, so it’s worth it.”

Capt’n Crunch

A user commented, “I suck all the milk out of every bite, then chew. It’s basically like trying to chew sandpaper, but the sensory effects of it are super satisfying.”

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups

One interesting response was, “I meticulously remove the center of Reese’s peanut butter cup, consume all the peanut butter first without breaking the chocolate ring, and then eat the ring by itself at the end.”

Another response was, “I eat my Reese’s by first eating all the chocolate, then eating the peanut butter!”

Cereal

A person shared, “Dry cereal. Love the taste of just the cereal & I dislike milk. Don’t like it when crispy foods get soggy, so I just eat dry cereal w/ a spoon & wash down with my coffee.”

A second person added, “Dry cereal is just dessert chips, I’ve decided. I do it late at night as a casual snack.”

Hummus

A popular comment was, “I use hummus like mayonnaise. I use it to make tuna salad or put it on bread for a chicken sandwich. The lemon or roasted pepper varieties are particularly good for this.”

KitKats

A user replied, “People hate watching me eat KitKats! I start by biting off the chocolate on all 4 sides, then I go layer by layer and peel the top to the bottom off! It’s just satisfying to do it that way! I get why it annoys people, but it calms me!”

Kiwi

One comment was, “Kiwi w peel on.”

Another comment was, “My wife eats kiwis with the skin. I have no idea how she does it. The very idea of chewing through the skin makes my skin crawl, lol.”

String Cheese

A person commented, “I just take little nibbles from the end of string cheese so that I don’t have to use two hands. It’s just way easier than “the fun way.”

Spaghetti

Finally, a user said, “I put my spaghetti on buttered bread and eat it like a sandwich.

Another user added, “When I was little, I’d hollow out the end of a baguette, stuff it with lasagna and use the pulled-out bread to seal it back up, then chow down. Good stuff!”
