Sadly the number-one-voted response was, “Aw man, not everybody has nice moms.. that is all I want to say about that one.” Unfortunately, many other women in the thread related to this reality.
One woman shared, “Women who defend rapist, predatory or abusive behavior to get a guy’s attention. It happened a lot in school. I never really felt safe around my female classmates.”
Another volunteered, “Homeless woman at a bus stop suffering from mental illness. So I just avoided any direct eye contact.” Several other women agreed that their encounters with someone mentally ill at bus stops and train stations have been scary.
“When my husband and I first started dating, he had a female friend that I tried desperately to be friends with,” one woman confessed. “One day, riding in a car with her, she was tailgating a truck so severely, they started rolling coal at us.
Being shoulder checked by a territorial and jealous person downtown. I was minding my business, looking at my phone. She had two friends and a guy with her,” shared one.
