Have you watched the new Netflix series Wednesday? Netflix just announced, “Wednesday now holds the record for most hours viewed in a week for an English-language series on Netflix, with 341.2 MILLION HOURS!”
“The series — starring Jenna Ortega from EPs Tim Burton, Al Gough & Miles Millar — is #1 in 83 countries, tying the record set by Stranger Things 4.”
They have since announced that Wednesday surpassed Stranger Things Season 4 for viewership! So how is the internet taking the news? I’m sure this has exceeded many expectations and goals for many who worked on this project.
Salty Warrior Nun Fans
“How about the record for the most viewed series without Netflix efforts and promotions but still made it to the top?” One questioned. “I mean, it’s honestly not a record when you promoted it on the airports like there’s no merit there, dude, don’t put it like that,” another stated.
“Yes. Flop. No one is digging at the show Wednesday. We are saying that if a show with much higher critic and audience scores had gotten the same promotion, it would have done just as well,” one Warrior Nun fan shared.
Another said, “Warrior Nun is one of the best fantasy series today, and its second season easily beats several others. However, we are confused and disappointed by Netflix’s lack of outreach. We sincerely hope that changes and that there will be a third season.”
Excited Wednesday Fans
“I watched all episodes in one sitting, so at least I know I contributed to something,” replied one. “Not going to lie, it was one of the best shows I have ever watched, and it would score above Stranger Things. This show is well deserved and worth its hype,” another confessed.
“So much better than I thought,” one admitted. “I didn’t know how I felt about Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia. But she and Gwendoline Christie as Principal Larissa Weems was perfect casting. Gwendoline Christie’s Towering height was an ideal match for the show. I can’t wait until season two,” another replied.
Questions and Mixed Reactions
One user asked, “How come I just realized that Ms. Thornhill from Wednesday on Netflix was originally Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family in the 90s?”
“The only character they got right was Wednesday,” another argued. “Pugsley would have been scared of the other kids hurting him. So he would have handed them brass knuckles and asked them to hit harder. I also think the casting for Gomez was wrong.”
Appreciation Posts
“I need more people to talk about how beautiful Bianca Barclay is. Sis was GLOWING in every scene. Wednesday on Netflix,” one user shared.
“I love so many things about #wednesdaynetflix, but I absolutely ADORE thing wearing this Lil party hat,” another pointed out. Another confessed, “I never cried so much for a hand!”
One person expressed, “Morticia is perfect, beautiful, stunning, and spot on. “Morticia Addams edit fan-cam maneater,” shared another.
Wednesday Brought Out Incredible Artists
Tankuri shared “Quick speed paint of Wednesday Addams,” with a beautiful portrait of everyone’s favorite Addams.
Sydney shared, “Aromantic versus a hopeless romantic.”
Final Responses
“Her acting was just phenomenal. I can’t wait for season two!”
“I’M LAUGHING ‘CAUSE JENNA HAD THIS MAN WITH HER EVERY TIME THING WAS ON SCENE??? THIS IS AMAZING,” one shouted.
Even the Swifties shared their appreciation for Netflix’s number-one streamed show!
Lastly, a fan said, “She ate it, sorry,” while sharing a photo montage of Jenna Ortega as the spooky Wednesday Addams.
