This is a quick and easy snack that has so many benefits and will have you feeling energized when you need it. As a busy working mom ready-to-go snacks that are good for you and your kids are so handy to have.

They are so easy to prep, require no baking, and everyone at home will love them.

Nursing moms, you’re going to add 1tsp of Brewers Yeast to the recipe to help your milk supply. These are easily turned into a delicious no-bake lactation cookie that will help increase milk supply and improve your energy.

These bites are great when you’re craving something sweet but still want to be sure you’re eating good foods. This recipe does not call for refined sugar. I use Maple Syrup instead because it’s a more natural sugar. ( I also use it in my coffee)

These delicious energy balls have Peanut Butter, plain rolled Oats, and Flax Seed in them. A guilt-free snack you can grab and you don’t have to feel bad when you serve these up as a healthy snack for your kids. It’s all good stuff!

Add them to a snack tray for your kids to snack on throughout the day. It’ll save you time during that day so you’re not constantly making them a new snack.

Benefits to Energy Bites

This recipe is so easy that you can really make it your own and add different ingredients to it. They’re a great source of fiber and protein. I usually add some mini chocolate chips to mine so my kids devour them.

They’re so great as an afternoon pick me up instead of having another cup of coffee. They’re also great because you can make them ahead and there’s always something healthy to snack on during the day.

These no bake energy balls are full of nutrition, add some ground flaxseed if you are used to incorporating it into your yogurts and baking.

You can truly make these any way you’d like, add some of your favorite seeds t it and nut/seed butter for a nice taste or keep the recipe how I’ve written it below.

Different Flavours

You can add your favorite ingredients to change up the flavor.

Cinnamon bites – Add in some cinnamon to the mixture. Don’t add too much, a little goes a long way.

Maple Bites – add in a tablespoon or two to give your energy bites a nice sweet flavor.

Honey – Same idea here, add some honey to give them a nice sweet taste.

M&M Energy Bites- add in your favorite chocolate chips to chocolate candy to give your energy bites a little more sweetness to them. Adding chocolate chips reminds me of cookie dough flavor.

Coconut and Nut Butter – are two more ingredients that will kick this recipe up a notch while also staying healthy.

Blueberry – add some blueberries to this for some nice texture to the energy ball recipe

Add Some Protein

Sometimes I like to add a little vegan protein powder to them, just add a tablespoon into the mix and now you’ve got a little more protein to give you an extra boost of energy and it will help you feel fuller longer.

You can also add hemp hearts, and chia seeds to increase the protein in this recipe.

Easy to Find Ingredients

I really get turned off by a recipe if I don’t know what half the ingredients are, or if I have no idea where to find them. You might even have it all in your Pantry right now. The only thing I had to go look for was the Brewer Yeast since I wanted a batch to help with my milk supply. ( Bulk Barn)

No-Bake Lactation Cookie

The combination of flaxseed, Oats or Oatmeal, and Brewers Yeast is a winning combination to improve and maintain your milk supply. I eat these even when my milk supply is just fine. I like knowing I’m helping maintain my supply. Plus, they’re so good!

Kids Think They’re a Great Treat Too

My middle child is a picky eater. Getting him to eat has always been a challenge in this house. He loves these Mom Bombs. They’re small, taste good and he can see (so he thinks ) everything that’s in them. If he sees something that he doesn’t like he won’t even touch it. It’s funny how some kids are so set in their ways and so skeptical of food. One day I will try these without peanut butter and see if they can be a lunch school snack.

Freeze Them for Later

You can also make these ahead of time and freeze the dough for later. This will be good in the freezer for up to a month depending on what you add into your mixture.

Quick tip before we get to the recipe, if your energy balls don’t stick add a little more maple syrup to them and that should help.
