Snacks are my favorite, I love snack foods even as a meal. Appetizers are my best friend. Give me a meal that consists of finger food snacks and I am in heaven. The problem sometimes is that when you crave a mozzarella stick they’re not always the healthiest, sometimes that’s ok but sometimes you want something delicious that is a little better for you.

That’s why I love this recipe so much and guess what, my kids LOVE IT! My picky child loves these and asks for them all the time. He actually likes these mozzarella sticks more than the regular store-bought ones or ones we get at restaurants.

Easy Wonton Mozzarella Sticks

Using Wontons takes away the need to make a batter. These are low fat and low carb and give the mozzarella sticks a nice crunch while still keeping the traditional mozzarella stick flavor. You can even adjust your cooking time to make them crunchier if you’d like. I like that using the wontons makes it cleaner too and relatively easy to put together. They stick well and you don’t lose a lot of cheese while they’re cooking.

Family Snacks

Family time is so important and I love a snack that everyone loves. These easy to make mozzarella sticks make everyone happy in my home. Even my little girl loves them. Hubby is happy that they’re a bit healthier and and all the kids are huge fans of these deliciously cheesy mozzarella sticks.

What You’ll Need

  • https://amzn.to/2wfEMYRWonton paper (usually in the product aisle or I’ve linked it here for you )
  • Mozzarella cheese strings (I usually buy a pack of 16)
  • Eggs (2 eggs)
  • Frying Pan
  • Cooking Oil (I use avocado oil)
  • Cooking brush

Instructions

Unwrap all your cheese strings and cut them in half.

Take two eggs and whisk them into a bowl.

Pour oil onto your frying pan to completely cover the bottom. Heat it on medium to low heat.

Take your wonton wraps and with a brush cover the wonton in the egg wash.

Place your cheese string on the wonton paper and wrap it until it’s all covered in the wonton paper and cinch the top and bottom of the mozzarella stick.

Once your oil is heated and you have enough mozzarella sticks to get started place them in your frying pan and let them cook. Once they start to get golden brown flip then. They’ll only take about 5 minutes to turn golden brown and for the cheese to melt.

Place them on a plate with paper towel and let them cool before serving.

Serve with ranch or marinara sauce and enjoy! They’re so easy and everyone will love them!
