What is Shifting?
Before we get into how to write a shifting script, some of you may need help understanding what shifting is, so here is a quick summary for you!
Let me give you the cliff note version on shifting. “Shifting” is a term used to describe the act of moving from one’s consciousness from the current reality or the CR to one’s desired reality or DR. This idea uses mostly the multiverse theory. This theory states that every decision or action we make shifts us into a new reality. With every possible decision or action we make, we may be creating an alternate reality.
Okay, now that you have a little background knowledge on shifting, let’s get back into creating a shifting script for your desired reality.

Writing a Shifting Script
In this blog post, I will go into the basics and the in-depth knowledge of reality-shifting scripting. You’ll also need to know that shifting scripts can be written in micro detail or macro detail, and I’m going to try and give you as much detail as possible to make the whole process easier. If you feel like some of these details just aren’t for you. Or they make writing a shifting script more complicated for you, then just ignore them.
Is Scripting Necessary in the Shifting Journey?
No, it’s not necessary. But it is helpful!
Of course, there have been people who can shift their desired reality without a script. These people are often very organized and have great power over their minds.
Most of us are not like them, and we will have trouble shifting realities making a shifting script helpful and necessary.
Scripting is a pretty self-explanatory term, and it’s the script of your desired reality. You write about your goals, yourself, the people you know, and other things. Some believe your subconscious mind knows what you want, and thus writing a script is a little pointless. But most people I’ve read about and watched who have successfully shifted always seem to recommend having a script. So, I am sticking with it.
Having a shifting script helps you to see where you want to shift, what you want, and what you don’t want in your DR or desired reality. This helps make everything crystal clear and lets you clearly define in words what you want in your desired reality.
Simple Map for Shifting Reality
When working with reality shifting, you will be working with a vivid imagination and visualization. You’ll also feel like you are literally time-traveling and existing in an alternate reality. The experience is going to be unlike other meditative techniques. When working with reality shifting, you will use self-guidance and subtle details. Because of this, it is often beneficial to have a “guide map” or script ready to help you with your desired reality experiences. Scripts can vary depending on the difference between methods, but having a guide map is the best first step.
How to Write a Script for Shifting?
This part depends on everyone’s desired realities, which will differ depending on each person. How you write and what you write in your own script all depends on you! Just like affirmations, writing a reality shifting script is not a one-size-fits-all.
Some people want to use bullet points, while others will write paragraphs and fill entire pages in a Google doc. You’ll want to try both ways and see which works best for you. Remember, I discussed at the beginning of this post that this would be a microdetail post. We were going to get into the small details of shift scripting and how it all works.
Here is an example of what a basic script should include. Think of the below as a shifting template, if you will:
If you do not desire to write down all the bulleted information below. Do not worry!! I have a printable and digital template available for you.

How do you write your personal information script?
First, start with your full name. You will be called this name in your desired new reality and your nickname. You can either choose to write your existing nickname or create a new one. Then move on to your gender and biological age. Age is just a number; you can change it if you like. Someone who is 56 in current reality may choose to be 22 in their desired reality.
Then move on to your birthdate and your zodiac sign, and you can add anything special you may do on your birthday. Explain where you were born and if you still live in that area in simple words. You may mention the state, city, and hospital. Then mention your current place and the place you would like in your desired reality.
Continue down the list to your blood group, and then go into the languages you know and speak. Make sure you mention the language, tone, fluency, and style you’d like to speak in your desired reality. You can also add in your accent if you would like one.

During the shifting process, some discard this section, and you can too. But if you want to include it in your script, do so wisely. Get rid of every argument, disagreement, and dilemma you have in that relationship with the specific person and make a bond in your desired reality.
Besides the parts mentioned, write a few affirmative sentences. Affirmations can help guide you during the shifting process, and they can help stop negative and pessimistic beliefs from entering your alternate world.
- I’m shifting to my dream reality, my flawless being.
- I can, and I will go to my desired reality.
- I can shift whenever I want.
- My thoughts are powerful and create my desired reality.
- This is what I adore intrinsically, my dream sphere. Oh! I’m blessed.
- Yeah! I’ve shifted. My pure essence is blissful and radiant.

- Period (for females)
The final step is all about your desired reality rules. It’s important to select a safe word, and this word will help you return to your current reality from your desired being.
The time duration in our current reality is fixed, but there may be a time difference in your desired reality. An hour of my current reality could be one month in my desired reality.
Pain tolerance is another thing you want to make sure to script. Many people script that they do not feel any pain, but imagine being in your desired reality and getting stabbed and feeling nothing. You want to know what you can handle.
This idea goes for death as well. Determine what will happen if you die in your desired reality or if you want to make it so you can not die.
Finally, you may want to script about your period if you are a female. Do you get it or not? Are you sexually active? Etc.
Once all of this is written, the script is ready. Your subconscious knows what you want, but this script will help move your essence to your soul.
Frequently Asked Scripting Questions:
This process can all be confusing or sound challenging, and I get it. Here are some questions people often ask after reading about desired realities and scripting.
Can I Script on my Phone?
Yes, you can write your script on your for shifting. You can type your scripting templates into your phone as if you were writing them on paper or typing them on a computer.
One of the main reasons I’ve read that writing your script on paper would be more beneficial is if you plan to use the pillow method. With this method, you put the script under your pillow. If you place your phone with your script open under your pillow, your phone may overheat, causing a very dangerous situation.
Do I need to script every detail mentioned above?
Remember how I mentioned I would write this post using micro details? You do not need to script every detail; you should only script the things you can sync up with when you imagine. Don’t force yourself to imagine specific parts if it does not feel natural.
You can script whatever you want. It is your desired reality, after all. But I do believe there are some must-have things you should include in your script:
- Your name
- What do you want to look like
- A safe word
- Time difference
Remember that you should write your script in the present tense since you want it to happen to you now. Anything else you include could be optional, but you should include anything you feel is important in your shifting template.
How can I remember it all when practicing shifting?
Once you’ve gone through the important steps and completed your script, it’s important to read and re-read it. You want to almost breathe into it. Don’t try to shift until you are ready because you need to ensure you can imagine everything in your script.
